Short Hair, Don't Care

Actually I do care, quite a lot!!! I've been meaning to write a post like this for a while now and as I've had my hair cut this week I thought no time like the present. Once again I've been neglecting my blog, sadly, in favour of third year uni work. Sigh.

Anyway! Over the last year I've come to terms with some simple facts: I look better with short hair. Long hair does not suit my teeny little face. So, I thought I'd share with you my hair journey over the last year or so.

I've had my hair really short in the past and then at the end of my first year of uni I decided (partly because I couldn't afford the regular trims that short hair requires) that I would grow out my hair and on occasion it behaved quite well:

Most of the girls in my family are graced with lovely long hair, my mum, my sister even my seven year old cousin. But even when I was little I had short hair– so short that in some of my baby pictures I look like a boy in a dress. The trouble is that I love love love reeeeally long hair, waist length but mine would get just past my shoulders and set up camp.

So, I conceded that I would be stuck with shoulder length tresses so I thought I'd at least get it styled;

I was really happy with this cut for about a two days and then I was bored. So about four weeks later I decided to just give in and go back to what I know: A bob, slightly graduated and longer at the front.

This trusty cut kept me happy for a good few months and even as my hair grew longer I knew not to fall into my old habits of letting it grow out and having to over style it. So this week I went and got a short bob cut back in and although I would have preferred it a teeeeeny bit longer at the front I'm happy, that's just me being fussy!

I'm sure my style will change but I think I've finally realised that, hey it's okay if long hair isn't my thing!

Bit of a different post today so please do let me know what you think (Apologies for all the shameless selfies) Until next time! xoxo

The hair is the richest ornament of women; Moroccan Oil Treatment Kit Review.

I think it's true for every girl out there that her hair is VERY important. Nothing can make or break your day like your tresses behaving or misbehaving themselves. I recently spotted a Moroccan oil treatment kit for an amazing £9.99 from Wowcher and I just couldn't resist!

I use a lot of heat when styling my hair, I'm constantly straightening or curling it! I have naturally curly/ frizzy/ ANNOYING hair so I'm always on the hunt for nourishing conditioners and hair products and this didn't disappoint.

The kit included, a Moisture Repair shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment oil. Firstly it smells delicious! The shampoo is thinner than usual which took some getting used to but it left my hair feeling really fresh and clean. I found that the conditioner was best applied little by little, I have really dry ends so I focused on those and let the conditioner do its thing for about five minutes, silky smooth goodness!
Now onto the best bit, the treatment oil. The idea of putting oil onto my hair just after washing it seemed a bit strange at first but this was surprisingly light and left my hair feeling super soft and manageable (at last!).

I'd definitely recommend this kit but if you're strapped for cash (this normally retails at around £30) just go for the treatment oil as there are so many available and it's diviiiiine!

On a different note, I start a two week internship at Fabulous Magazine on Monday so I'll be posting about that lots!!! Big big thank you to my friend Louisa over at www.fashionfumblings.com
